Eagle Insights: Tool Time – Coaxial Cable Stripper

Welcome to Tool Time with iRex, a video series where our production experts walk you through a step by step demonstration showcasing proper cable tooling and production practices. Today we’re showing you our Coaxial Cable Stripper.

Our coaxial cable stripper can be programmed to strip cables at varying diameters to ensure a perfect fit every time. To begin, we check our spec sheet to find the correct connector and correct shielding. Then we note the 3 individual blade gaps needed, which we program into the stripper before inserting the wire and letting the machine do its thing. Once stripped, we visually inspect the wire and send it along to have its connector hand crimped.
